This review identifies and summarizes the current scholarly literature about sex trafficking of women and girls in Canada.
We identified empirical studies using a keyword search in ProQuest, Web of Science, and Scopus. Eligible articles were published in English in 2000 or later, focused on women victims/survivors, and analyzed human/participant data. Only 14 studies met the eligibility criteria. Most studies were qualitative, based on interviews or focus groups primarily with service providers, and set in the province of Ontario.
